According to China Land and Resources Journal, departments and enterprises with surveying and mapping qualifications completed a total service value of 91.032 billion, which increased by 8.8% compared with last year. Private enterprises completed a total service value of 33.512 billion, which increased by 30.4% compared with last year.

At the end of 2016, the total number of departments and enterprises with surveying and mapping qualifications is 17292, with an increase of 1361 (8.5%) than last year, including 983 with Grade A qualification, 3607 with Grade B, 6490 with Grade C and 6212 with Grade D. Private enterprises with qualifications reached to 9374, increased by 13.7%.
